Yes, what you are reading is not a lie. The long anticipated release of RCAFKittyhawk.com has finally come. As of 10:00 PM of February 19th, 2007 the site is officially open. The site contains an entire history of AK804/1034 including picture of the P-40 during World War Two and even a movie of the "Moving of the P-40" (see website for details). RCAFKittyhawk.com also features 5 different "Featured Websites" as well as a different "Featured visitor Picture" each week. We hope you enjoy the website and that you gain some unknown information from it.

Sincerely the staff at RCAFKittyhawk.com

Glenn,

Nice site.

Feel free to use any of the pics I posted in your previous thread as a visitor picture if you like them.

Some years ago I had a website where I presented about a dozen little color profiles that I had drawn of RCAF Kittyhawks, both wartime and survivors. Below are a few samples. If you would like to host the original profiles on your site, I would be happy to provide them.

August

Hi Glenn.

Nice site, thanks for posting up the info. I see the KittyHawk has history here on the lower mainland being at Vancouver and Boundary Bay as well. Hopefully you guys continue to keep it here in southern BC seeing that it's a real jewel of local history.

Didn't the Boly go the the Aviation museum in Ottawa?

Brian....

Hi all,

Yes there was a Bristol Bolingbroke that the family owned. It was also towed to Saltspring Island, BC and sat on the island till the late 1960's I believe. I'm not sure if my grandfather ever run it, he most likely did, or else the salt air would have gotten into the engine and probably seized it? Anyway, thanks for your replies. If you have any further questions PM me, post whatever you need here, or email us at rcafkitt@rcafkittyhawk.com

Brian,

Yes the Bristol Bolingbroke did go to the Aviation museum in Ottawa. It was donated by my Grandfather George Maude. Soon Ill have pictures of it, including picture of it being dismantled on Saltspring Island, BC. and the once it was restored back in Ottawa.

Anyone have a picture that they have taken of the Kittyhawk and would like to submit it and see it on the site as a "featured visitor picture"?
