Coming from a turbo-charged Indy background and reading my AT-6 pilot manual (I only have the manual so far) how does a normally aspirated engine develop 36" of manifold pressure in a 30" normal world?

I understand that we refer to manifold "pressure" when it is actually manifold vacuum, i.e. 25" of manifold "pressure".

Can you help my ignorance? Yeah, I thought so, thanks.

A T-6 is not naturally aspirated, it has a blower.

Better read that manual some more – it's pressurized.

That's OK. Once I was putting a friends T-6G in a different hanger with him watching. After cautioning me that I only had 1' clearence for each wing tip he got annoyed in my seemingly inability to get it inside and he shouted stop each time has the wing tip overlapped the the hanger door opening. I finally asked him how big the hanger door was and he replied 40' plently of room .

I put a whole day's worth of charter flying (probably 10 or 12 legs) in the wrong airplane's log book once. Had to cough up a fourty of rum for that one!

OK, so that's a "trick" question or was that a metric 40 feet? Seems like it would be 2 foot interference fit, no?
