Hello All!

Thanks for the many contributions over the last week. Every tip and shred of info is very much appreciated. There are a few that have gone "above and beyond". I would be neglectful if I didn't recognize Scott Pinkerton and Walt McKinney. These two gents have been providing a steady flow of tips that we all will benefit from.

As of last October there was an A-26 and a PV-2 at Las Cruces on the ramp; both are in pretty rough shape. There is also an F-100F between the FBO's on the west side of the field, but I don't have any details on that one.

Sorry to nitpick:

#2: There may be plane, possibly an F-4, displayed in a park in Alamorgo. Has anyone seen it?

It should be Alamogordo.

#7: There may be a C-46 and/or F-100 displayed at the airport in Las Cruces. Can anyone confirm?

There is 100% sure, an F-100 on display at Las Cruces Airport. I have the photos to prove it.

As for the C-46 that used to be there, it was ferried to California within the last year or two; that subject was part of a thread here a while back.

#8: Is there a “Southwest Aviation” at the Las Crusces Municipal Airport? If so do they have an A-26, O-46 and/or PV-2?

Same goes for the A-26 which I saw but I did not see an O-46. I will have to check my photos to see if there was a PV-2 (last time I was there, was April 2006)

#10: Is there a F-105 displayed in Roswell?

It is there, although you cannot call it as being on display.

While it is at the airport, it is inside a fenced area, far from the street.

Also at the Roswell Airpark, there is a drone; geographical coordinates and pictures for these two are here:

This has already been answerede above, and I confirm the F-111 as being there.

#12: Are there any F-86s held by the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro?

Unless you check with Google Earth, the last time (2006) I tried to gather information at the NM Institute of Mining Tech, I was met by a very irate and uncooperative NM University cop, so I decided that prudence was advisable, and left the area.

I can send you the photos via e-mail, if you want me to do so.

All the photos that I had posted here in the past, were deleted by a hacker ($%#@^& I know who you are, J.R.E.) and thus, you all do not get to see them posted with the links.

I still have the originals though, so nothing has been lost after all.

The GE images of the airport is a composite of at least two. Most of the airport is covered by one image which appears was taken late in the day after an air show. I think there is a C-123 on the ramp, along with a NASA F-18 and Learjet. Basically there is much “stuff” on the ramp. The resolution is good, and I can’t make out an A-26. However, the part of the airport to the west has what might be an A-26 tucked up close to a hangar and is parked pointing east.

The one I am talking about is at… 32 16 59.65 N 106 55 27.79 W

Is this where you meant? If not where is the A-26 and PV-2 in relation to the F-100?

Google Earth didn’t reveal anything. But is have one source that indicates they may have, or had at one point, many airframes. Did you ever try to contact them directly?

#1: What aircraft types does the CAF Lobo Wing, in Moriarty, have in the collection?
#2: There may be plane, possibly an F-4, displayed in a park in Alamogordo. Has anyone seen it?
#3: Does Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque have a MiG-21 or F-80 on display?
#4: I had one source which indicated there was a T-33 displayed at American Legion Post 81 in Belen. Post 81 is actually in Lake Havasu City, but I can't located the T-33 there. Belen doesn't have a Legion post. Is there a T-33 associated with either of these two locations?
#5: Is there a AT-11 displayed at the Carvern City Airport in Carlsbad?
#6: Is there a Fort Jordan Museum in Clayton? Do they have a F-86?
#8: Where exactly are the A-26 and PV-2 belonging to “Southwest Aviation” at the Las Crusces Municipal Airport located?

Lobo wing of the CAF at Moriarty has a PT-26 (N5519N) and a AT-11 (N320A). I don't know if it is an actually AT-11 or a modified C-45. The PT is a flyer, the twin beech is in restoration.

This is confirmation regarding the PV-2, as well as the A-26, the F-100D and the A-26 fuselage at Las Cruces (June 04, 2006):

The F-100 is just west from the airport terminal.

The A-26 fuselage is located further west from the F-100, while the PV-2 and the A-26 stand next to each other in one of the main aprons.

Sorry, PJ but I don't know about the PV-2s interior.

My shots were taken through the chain link fence.

Maybe someone else here will have the info for you?
