Warbird Information Exchange

Was slightly frustrated (but only slightly, and I'm wouldn't take my decision back one bit) on Saturday as I flew up to Dallas with a friend to suprise another friend for his birthday. Knew that the Collins aircraft were up there and was only about 12 miles away at Air Park Dallas. But, the trip was entirely worth it, and I didn't miss the planes too much. At least I got to see them. Here are a few pictures from the trip:

Also had the immense pleasure of seeing a P-51 (Red Nose?) fly over while playing volleyball with some of my very best friends. Mustangs are always a good thing.

Thanks for sharing your pics. That's a neat shot of the Chinook from overhead!

I don't know if you know this or not, but your last picture, the one with the parking lot full of jets, is an aerial view of the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison. You can see their F-105, MiG-21, MiG 17, OV-1D, and F-104 in the lower center of the photo. The group of four hangars surrounding those aircraft are the museum hangars full of great warbirds!

As Dean states, the pictures of the Jets at Addison are an overhead view of Cavanaugh. Just above hanger 2, you can also see the Tracker. (It had been moved out of the hanger to give space for a party, and we didn't move it back in until Sunday evening).

Jim was out flying the Mustang over the weekend, so it may have been the CFM Mustang you saw.

It also looks like the helicopter platform is on the ramp, so the Jani-King Eurocopter must also have been "out and about" at the time you took your picture.
