F-5 Lightning Recovery

Has anyone heard about this F-5?
The F-5E being recovered at present by JPAC is located at 7,000 ft near Mt Salawaket in the Finesterre Ranges. It was flown by 1Lt Elwyn A. Eastman O-282874. This Lightning is s/n 44-23227, which departed Finschafen for a local test flight on 18 August 1944.
