How is David Price’s old 38 doing and is it going to fly anytime soon? It would be great to see it in the air. Also, does any body have any info on Scatter Brain II?

I miss that plane! Fellow CAF member Jeff Birdt and I had the pleasure of getting her ready for her ferry flight to Chino two years ago. What a blast sitting on the left wing checking the gages as pilot Bob Goubitz ran up the engines. I will post more pics.

Dan

The Spitfire boys are giving her a complete go over. Les Bedding tells me she will receive a different paint job. RAF camo and markings. WE need are still short of the 100 grand to rebuild the Griffon but some day we will get there. This is one neet airplane!

Didn't I meet you last year when you flew in to CMA in a new R-24?

That was me. 8)

Now that was a fun trip. Picked up the 44 from the factory and flew it back to GA. We stopped at your museum, one near El Paso, where the black 38 and the 51 friendly ghost are, and to top it off we stopped in Midland to say hello to everybody there. It took us three days to get home and I loved every sec of it. :D

Yall have one amazing museam out there.

For just a moment, I thought Dan was talking about putting the P-38 in RAF markings, as in "Lockheed Model 322"... wow, would THAT raise some eyebrows!!!

It would sure be cool, though! :)

I thought the name sounded familiar! I'm the fat guy sitting in the cockpit of the first 38 photo. Jeff is the guy standing in the next shot. I can't remember if you met him. I checked your website out. Lookin good y'all!

Hope to see you again!
