anybody see the big new french bird up close?? 1 landed in los angeles & 1 in new york. made the national news today.

I saw it in Paris 2 years ago and did a walk thru... Just another bigger bus. Airbus makes a good product and hopefully the'll get the bugs worked out..

Is it me or are the landings rough looking? Maybe it has something to do with it's size, but every landing I have seen on TV looks bad.

Dave, the whole program is bombing! :twisted: That's OK though, they have low cost government loans to fall back on.

I could have seen it, but as an employee of "Brand A" I felt the need to avert my eyes.

If they ever get their tanker operational I suppose that will be a warbird.

1 landed in Chicago today. However I only saw it land LIVE on the noon news today. Very cool!

We had one in Vancouver, BC a few months ago but I missed it. I got some pictures of it from a friend though. It arrived in Snow... which is very rare in Vancouver so I imagine the crew of the A380 were wondering if they actually flew to the right city.

Also, it spend quite a while in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada for its cold weather testing. Apperently it was quite a site considering it was well taller than the tallest building in town!

Still, it's nice to see the A380 getting closer towards being used commercially.

But still, I'm a Boeing guy. "Just say no to side-sticks"

I thought this was 'Brand A' and yours was 'Brand B'? Having spend waay too much time on products of both manufacturers and others, I'm interested that no-one's interested in putting a 'You are flying Brand A' above the door (inside where the walkway connects of course) as you board. It would at least give you something to read while waiting as the individual of questionable judgement in front of you creates a massive queue (or line up, if you prefer) as he discovers those lockers aren't infinitely expandable. Confused of SLF.

It is cool to take in it's size and power. As For Airbus in general, "When the last Airbus is parked in the desert, the crew will ride home in a 737."
