Sad to see the ol' birds outside, but that's just how it goes since nobody wants to spend money on them. Oh, and the Shackleton IS inside right now. :)

I'll be willing to give the ambulance and BOFORS a good home.

Unfortunately, I can't help you with those. The ambulance, Duster, and all of the other vehicles are supposedly going to be put in the Commemorative Center (new hangar), if it ever gets finished. However, if you want a B-23 fixer-upper, or a Twin Beech project, just give me a shout. ;-)

The planes look neat in the snow. Whats the story with that C-97 nose section (is that all there is of it)?

It snowed here in Virginia today too... we got about an inch! But Texas! I am shocked to see it snow there so late in the season. Loved the shots Gary...

All the best,
Richard

Don't you just love this Global Warming weather, especially on "Open Cockpit Day". We had 15" inches worth of fluffy white spring showers on Thursday. The photos though are very nice. Appreciate you taking a break and keeping us up to date on the happenings there at the hangar.

Cool Duster, I want it. 8)
My friend Jim, here in Salem, just bought a duster to go with his P-51 and M-16 (quad 50 halftrack). I'd really like a M-90. Gary you do have one of those laying around do you?

and today I was sunbathing on my balcony in bright sunshine and 22° C (that's around 71° F)....

been reading the original (!) Report No. NA-5914... yes, thats the NAA issued Flight Manual for the P-51D dated February 9, 1945.... way different from the T.O. 1F-51D-1 [previously know as AN-01-60JE-1]

The one thing Al Gore will ignore, is that all the planets in the solar system are warming up and then there is all the activity on the sun. And that has nothing to do with cars.

The whole global warming deal is an agenda, not a problem. I wish someone would ask ole Al what we are all suppose to give up for his new religion. I'm sure he won't give up his earth rapping (his type of verb) mansion or his fuel guzzling jet. Another do as I say not as I do hypocrit.

I was afraid the title of this thread would turn it into a political argument. And just so you know, I'm certainly not taking sides...I think all (or at least the vast majority of) politicians are crooked, lying, cheating scumbags who only look out for themselves and their careers, not for the people that elected them to be politicians in the first place, no matter what their political party is. I dislike them all.

Rant over.

So, with that being said, here's some more somewhat Warbird related pictures from yesterday at Austin Acres Wildlife Refuge, Petting Zoo, Aircraft Tours, Canoe & Cross Country Ski Rentals......
