Hey, hey!

Went to Gatineau airport in the Pilatus and Michael Potter's Harvard 4 was in the hangar. I creeped in and managed to get a shot.

She's a really beautiful lady!

CF-ROA, RCAF 20451.

I have lots of back seat time in 451 as it belonged to Hannu Halminen. He restored it back in the mid 90s and it won several Snap On tools awards and is an Oshkosh Grand Champion winner. I guess the Spit is still not home yet??

I'm surprised this has not been mentioned yet but Ed Russel's Spitfire flew on the 11th with the CWH Lancaster. If I remember right it was John Romain who came over to fly it. It was a closed event but I know one other WIXer was there. I have spies ???? Details. I had another date that I will post in a seperate post.

Cheers,

Eric

Whoa, cool Eric!!

If this aircraft was restored in the '90s, why is the registration CF- instead of C-F?

I thought that when you repainted the aircraft, you neede to change it.

Even our Stinson, which has been restaured at least 20-25 years ago is C-FEEF.

Ollie,

You can still request the old style of registration with Transport. Ed Russell's Bf-109E even has CF-EML as it's reg, painted under the horizantal stab.

Al et al--

(that sounds redundant, eh?) I had no idea the Russell Me109 had gone onto the CCAR. Thanx for the info. Now to continue living in hope of actually seeing that stuff...

Thanks Brian, everything is so much clearer now!

So we could have the Stinson brought back to CF-EEF? She's a '42...

Thanks again Brian.

But I doubt that we will be changing her registration! We'll get her back flying before!!
