what other interests does everyone else here have?

for me my other loves are volkswagen beetles and model railways.

currently i'm preparing up to get into the restoration/modification of my 63 factory sunroof beetle (prepping = re orginising my shed, sorting out what i have already, working out exactly what i want to do and will need etc) . it has been on hold for a few years due to marriage, kids and a morgage all coming along but it's time to get things moving.

my other hobby is model railways but as my energies are car focused at the moment nothing is happening on this front. for anyone who is interested i model the local state system (New South Wales Government Railway) in 7mm scale aka 1:43.5 the english varient of O scale, as well as in HO scale.

as far as sports etc... not much for the last few years.

please share what else you do, i'm sure there will be some really inreresting stuff.

henry.

I enjoy restoring old turn of the century Victorian houses. I restored our old house about 7 years ago and recently purchased another "money pit" about 2 years ago which I'm still restoring. This last one can only be described as a "crack house" when the wife and I purchased it. But after 2 years of work you wouldn't even know it was the same house. Unfortunately this hobby takes a lot of time, $$$, and patience...kind of like restoring old gun turrets.

I'm sure like many here, my primary hobby is model building (1/72 plastic in my case.) On my meager salary I can't afford the real thing. I've always been one of those artsy-fartsy types, and also dabble in photography, and belong to a life drawing group. Here are a couple examples of my "other" hobbies...

Hmm . . . I have a very diverse range of interests: flying airplanes, watching airplanes, photographing airplanes, creating oil paintings of airplanes . . . is there anything else in life?

Oh yes - almost forgot! I have four kids - SOCCER!!

Having spent the majority of my life living on the RI coast means pretty much that I've also spent the majority of my life sailing -- used to do some racing, too........Also adore hiking, reading, and writing, I dabble in photography, I'm doing a lot more shooting, I'm a fabulous cook, and, being a woman, I LOVE buying shoes!

Well my sig. says it all. Planes, (model) Trains, and Automobiles.

Warbirds and model planes (1/48 and 1/72), WWII history, Lionel Trains (I collect mostly pre and postwar, and have an O gauge layout. I used to do N for a little while too). Cars, specifically Trans Am's, but I like pretty much any thing domestic with a V8 and RWD. 8)

Very nice Zane. Your missing a Krag, though ! You're so close, you really do need to complete the set.

Made a few of those BSA trips myself. Buffalo Trails Cavalcade, Charles L. Somers Canoe Base, Sea Base and many many Troop 464 campouts.

NRA Rifle and Shotgun instructor for the troop.

Here I am shooting my Springfield M1903 Built 1918 Barrel date 6-18. It's all original, been in the family since at least the 20s. This was a 200 yd service and high power match run to NRA rules.
