Just wanted to say hi all. Been a while. Been in Richmond VA for the last month working and non-reving home on the weekends so I have not had much time to surf the net (no internet at my campground).
Gotta say,

Jack Cook, sorry to hear about the house! I almost had the same thing aparently.

Garry Austin ( great job on LiL!!!) one of these days I need to go back to pg 90 and catch up!!!

Anyways, my 3rd day in richmond (last time a Houghton lived in Richmond, he slept in a tent and wore a blue coat) my company posted openings and I bid my TYS that was my 2nd choice when the company closed our MX base in VT. Well today I got the news while home (after the furnace guy told me that my chimney liner had collapsed estimate damage unknown until monday but was told was a HIGH fire Hazard!) that I was given a position in TYS on Line MX.........no C check for this boy! So I am to report to my pos. at TYS on May 8th. My new campground has free WIFI, so I will be back on WIX. Hopefully we will sell the house soon and my wife and kid can be in Tenn. I am hoping to do some site seeing in VA before I get out of there. I want to stop at the Fighter Factory and at another airport in VA to see the derlict B-25 that I knew as Chapter XI.

Dont worry, I will take pics.

Till next time "this yankee carpetbagger is headed west"

Looks like there will be a slight invasion of carpetbaggers to Tenn (but we are fleeing the North and not trying to rape the South, just for the record). We are headed a few hours west to the Nashville area. We hope to heading down in the next few months.

Hope your home sells fast, we were told if you prie your house right it will sell fast. And that is our hope.

Tim

Good Luck on the move, I am still trying to get settled into SC (no big warbirds to go and work on/ major withdrawal issues).

The B-25 is still sitting at the Franklin, VA airport. It only has one engine and there is a workstand under the tail keeping the nosewheel on the ground. While you are at Franklin you will have to check out our Tracker.

Kenny Paynter, a QC Inspector on third shift at COEX at TYS is a volunteer over there. Tell him that I said to get back to work and stop talking about warbirds!!
