Hi all,
Thought i'd check in quickly and say hello. I hope everything is well with all of you.
We're 99% moved into our rented house and almost done digging
through the rubble. We had a couple very cool OR NG Sgts. from the 2/162 infantry come help us finish up.
On a set back note, my wife got pneumonia has a result of the smoke innilation she suffered has a result of the fire but is doing better. Have found a few thing so it's not a total loss. Found my original photo of Bill Shomo in his MOH P-51 with 8 kills on the side and a original of Eddie Rickenbacker and his SPAD.

I'm glad to be down with going through the rubble has that's a depressing evolution. I hope to have a chair soon has I'm to old to sit on the floor

Jeff aka jcw is coming over this weekend also.

Glad to hear things are looking up for you Jack and that you're finally able to say goodbye to the hotel room. Hope your wife also has a speedy recovery!

Its good to hear you doing better Jack. My hopes for a speedy recovery to your wife. I hope things for yall continue in a positive direction. All though not near as bad as your deal, I came home Monday to find our house had been broken into. They had ripped out the phone lines, so my alarm system would not alert the monitors, busted out a bedroom window & went in. They got nearly all of my wifes well hidden jewelery, our nearly new big ass flat screen TV, some other odds & ends including my beloved Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 Mag pistol that I have owned since I was 18. We recently fired a maid service, so we are thinking it may be related since they seemed to be prepared to get the big TV & knew where the jewelery was hidden. We were fortunate that they didn't get any more of my guns or tear up the place any worse. None of my airplane pics were taken or damaged. I urge everyone reading this to inventory your valuables, & record your gun serial numbers, & keep that info in a safe deposit box. I am learning the hard way. After all bad stuff never happens to us. :oops:

Best wishes for your wife's speedy recovery. Glad to hear the digging/sorting process is behind you and hope everything goes smooth with the rest of the recovery process. I'll PM you soon with good news regarding our previous PM conversation.

A good quality gun safe, bolted to the basement concrete floor, so far, works well for me.

Robbie, I feel your pain. I got hit a few years ago, got quite a bit of stuff, including two handguns. But as I discovered, Karma is a bitch! One of the crooks got caught and is doing some serious time and I heard the second one got killed in some gang related mess.

Hang in there fellas, this too shall pass.
