Does anyone know how close it is to going on a test flight? The last time I saw a pic of it, it was pretty close.

I havent heard anything about the P-59 since Air & Space did an article a few years ago.

Hmmm Heritage flight w/ a new build 262, a Meteor and the P-59?

Dunno man. In the last pictures of it I saw, they still had the prop and nose under wraps. Probably a lot of work left to do still.

I bet they're having a hard time even getting a decent, restorable prop for that bird. I bought one off of eBay a few weeks ago and it still isn't here yet!!

I did a story on it a short while ago in Warbird Digest. You can order back copies from the web site.

I was looking at the Glacier Girl on Tuesday, but the P-59 was in the back covered up. It looked like they were coming along on their Bearcat more than the P-59..
