After 5 1/2 months of intense mait, got a couple of flights on the EA-1E in the last couple of days. Everything running perfect, 1.5 hours of hard flight and wiped up all the oil on the floor with one blue paper towel.
All I had to do to get it that way was replace the oil cooler, change every hose and every hose fitting, remove and replace all push rod tube seals and rocker cover seals. 600+ man hours and 12K later. No leaks.

Priceless.

Overhauled the 150 drop tanks, and the 4 20mm cannons are now absolutely complete, awaiting only parkerizing.

Tim Mulina was on hand to take some pics.

Ed, I knew there was somethign familiar about your plane and this weekend I was in Galveston and was talking to the guys about the Skyraider they used to own. I remembrer it when Jim Faus flew it back then. Howard Pardue has a great memory for names and recalled Jim. I think he lives in Florida now.It looks like you've got her dressed up in Sunday best, but who ever heard of a clean Skyraider; it's like a quiet Harley.

You can't blame me for trying. Faust is the guy that geared it up at Pensacola in 1972, I think.

Here's a couple of "DIRTY" pics:

No leaks? I thought the only AD that did not leak were static? 8)

Great to hear she is back in the air! It is a real beautiful aircraft.

Great job. I still have my "souvener" shirt from our little chit at TOM last year. Guess next time I won't be able to make another one now that it doesn't dispense so much oil :)

Usually when there is no oil leaks on a Wright, that means you are out of oil!!!
