At last, I made it to Wendover, UT.

The people at the airport were nice enough to allow me to take pictures of the Jet Provost and the C-123 "Jail Bird".

I also saw another two Provost inside a hangar, together with a SEA cammo T-28 (I did not enter the hangar though), and next door, behind closed doors, a Red MiG-15 (?) and a Gold T-33, plus parts for another T-33 as a minimum.

I will eventually re-size and upload the photos here.

Saludos,

Tulio

sorry I missed you! The T-33, Golden Hawk, is a new addition to the field - there are 2 more but they were at a show. Yes, a MIG-15 also lives there.

Tom,

I decided not to let you know that I was going to be there, since it was a weekday and I assumed that you had to be at work.

Interesting place, Wendover. I also found out that some scenes from Independence Day were shot there, and I will have to go watch the movie again.

There is a rear-fuselage section inside the hangar where the T-33s are; it is standing on the ground, and you can see the topmost part of it. Any idea what aircraft it comes from?

Saludos,

Tulio

well it is smashed from a truck running into it and there was 3 t-33's when i left there sunday afternoon..... as we had just put all the planes in the hangar after the past weekend's fun safety fly-in. the rear section to the right is from the white t-33 sitting on its belly and the one to the left is from another t-33 for parts. should have come out this past week... there was 8 t-33's 3-4 l-39's 2 l-29's and an iscra(? correct spelling?) a vampire and a mig 21. i have photos of all that attended and some videos as well ill have to share if anyone is interested. oh and it was nice to meet you tom and got to ride in the jeep with i think your dad.
