Here is an update on Chuck Wahl's SNJ restoration. The engine was installed last weekend.

Wow, that is a beautiful aircraft. I hope someday I have a plane to work on, or even better to build, I want a kit for an RV-7. :)

Steve, I just logged on to let you guys know about the engine and you already posted it. I like guys who work fast, you should help me on the plane!
MANY MANY THANKS to Sam Thompson of Tulsa Aircraft Engines for providing such a great engine. He did all the latest and greatest to it. New pistons, Nuchrome cyls, all new baffeling and all powder coated. He also powder coated the lower half of the cyls. New mag harness and chromed it and the plug elbows. Prat gray paint on the case. SS pushrod tubes. Carb and both Mags OH. Just an unbeleivable job.

I have a complete set of NEW exhaust that will go on in a week.

Lets see if anyone can come up with a pic of 90656 while it was on the USS Shangri La.
Here is the history of the plane http://www.cwahl.com/flying/snj5c/history.htm

Thanks
Chuck Wahl
