What is happening to the Army Aviation UH-1H Hueys?.. they are slowly coming up for retirement and a few are ex vietnam warriors im sure.

After serving close to 40years in some cases they are finally having to be withdrawn from use - abliet sadly so.

Are they to be scrapped? sold off shore or kept in museums and fly as warbirds?

I had thought for sure that the US army had cashed all theirs in for blackhawks but..................when I flew in to TYS last friday, there were 3 Med unit UH-1H's on the GA ramp about to turn rotors. I was hoping that the airplane would hurry and unload so I could get out on to the jetway to hear them. But all i got to do was press my nose up againsed the lexan and watch them leave in tight trail to the south. :)
