Came across this interesting and rare ME109 intrument panel on ebay today. For those that have deep pockets it would make for a nice collectible!

$2000 and still climbing. Reserve hasn't been met. I wonder what he's looking to get for it.
I don't know what german gauges go for these days but I think he might be asking a bit much for a replica panel. But maybe that's just me

I was kind of thinking the same thing Shay. I know German aircraft gauges can go for some big bucks but this seems a bit steep. It would be different if the entire panel were original and authentic. But who knows...if somebody wants it bad enough the sky's the limit!

Not that it's not a nice panel. I just feel the seller is misrepresenting it a little bit.

The instuments alone are worth well more than $2000.
The majority of panels in collections and on display are newer repro's. Very few original Bf-109 instrument panels exist. They were made out of layered birch.

I'll give'em 50 bucks for it, and won't even ask him where he found it.
The collection of instruments and gun camera is certainly worth every penny that's being bid (and more), but I do find it odd that there's no provision to add the Revi gunsight mount on the replica panel.

For the Revi mount, all you need to do is drill the holes in the raised pad thats located between the clock and ammo counters. There are two different style mounts for the Revi's. The hole pattern would depend on wether you installed a Revi C/12D or Revi 16B, but it looks like the C/12D would be correct in this instance.

I have to admit that the wing mounted camera looks to be quite an interesting piece in and of itself. I can't recall ever seeing one of these for sale so I'd have to guess that it's rare.

"Everything except the panel is 100% authentic German WW2 for a very famous fighter plane - the ME 109 Model G6"
seems pretty clear to me...

Over 2,000 for them so far, I should make one with some old Stewart -Warners I got laying around!
I think I am going to bid on the G.I. Joe stuff instead!

Bidding so far is pocket change compared to what it will take to get this item:

But how authentic? It certainly doesn't appear to be from an A6M. Any educated guesses?

With the multiple instruments I would guess it was from a transport, something expected to be used frequently under IFR conditions.

Hmmmm....the ME 109 panel closed at $2,651.26 and still didn't hit the reserve amount. Makes you wonder what the seller was trying to get for it.
