Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

The Luscombe is owned and flown by Ralph Royce's dad out of Galveston and I believe is 90+ years old.

Yes 90 years old!
I talked to him and I believe it was his daughter before they taxied out and left for Galeiston Texas.

What a ride that would be - In a 1940 Luscombe from Geneseo to Galveston.

See Trae, He made it all the way to New York in a kite!

You guys have no problem with pullen those Big Birds all the way to do a "New England Tour" and maybe head over to Geneso.

Every now again, ya gotta invade the other gang's turf.(CF)

Wow, I gave him a hand when he was working on 909 at BVI. That was almost 20 years ago now. I’m glad to hear he’s still flying!

On the Thursday before Geneseo we took 6 aircraft down to visit the NWM at Elmira and Mr. Royce flew down with us. I did not talk to him myself but he had lots of great stories. I took this photo when they were posing for another camera.

Hey Mike, The FAA database is down at the moment but the registration on the IAR 823 is NX121AR. The Luscombe is N25270.

Cheers,

Eric

Holly crap! Scott Royce, and Junior! Scott is a great guy. I used to help him with that aircraft back in the day when he was around Pittsburgh.
