I wonder why LSFM is selling some of their stuff off? I hate to see the Bearcat and A-20 go.

While I do not know about the ownership details of the AT-11, the Bearcat and A-20 were never owned by LSFM, but rather by Robert Waltrip. He seems to have been selling off all of the aircraft that he owned that were based at LSFM. Hope that this helps.

Cheers,
Richard

PS. I suspect that this is not the AT-11 based at LSFM, as I remember that one was in a very nice Cuban AF scheme, unless they repainted her in the last year.

I remember this AT-11 at the 1989 Tico Show in Florida. I thought it was a great paint scheme. Haven't seen it at many shows in the last ten years though.

How did Lone Star get involved where this aircraft is concerned ? This aircraft is in North Carolina not Galveston.

Lone Star's AT-11 is in Cuban markings.

The aircraft has been discussed previously on WIX. I actually exchanged emails with the owner some time ago, and at the time he mentioned a group from The Netherlands was trying to take it to Europe. Unfortunately, I guess that fell through.

It still has the original non-feathering prop hubs, which makes it a bit of hard sell I'm afraid. (Long story but I actually have one of the original prop blades from this aircraft in my garage).
