Hello,

I'm about to buy this beastie and I'm wondering if I'm doing a good job or not.

It actually records in whatever language the people are speaking in and translate it to French...

Seriously, my bad, here's the english link: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... &langid=FR

It records to miniDV so it can be taken in a cockpit (it is also fairly small).

Hey Olie,

My friend Dan (the PA-28-140 owner) has one similar and I've seen videos from it and it was not bad.

Compact indeed !

Yeah, you see them spin alright, and then even backwards... nice effect !

He filmed me a few times in flight and it came out well.

Mini DV is a great recording format, Canon makes a good product as well. I bought my Panasonic Mini DV from Future Shop 2 years ago. If you want a Consumer Reports type web site to check out, have a look at http://www.camcorderinfo.com/d/Reviews& ... MiniDV.htm

I have the older model of this called the ZR-200. Been real happy with it and it works well. The only negative I can say about it is that when is in a high vibration environment the recording head will bounce off the tape causing the picture to drop out. This has only happened to me when I've mounted to the handlebars of my motorcycle while making music videos. And that issue has only come up a few times.
