Scott,

What would you think about creating a "Gone West" or a Taps page on your site?

Just something as a small tribute to those we know and miss in the warbird community?

Scott:

I'm in favour of this as well. Only problem is that it'd be hella long........

I like this idea. Seems aworthy way WIX can pay tribute to and Honor these men.

Maybe instead it being a forum type page it could be a section like the Warbird Registry has.

Each could have a wartime photo as well as a recent one. And a listing of their Wartime accomplishment as well as their post-war.

I'd like to see something on more recent losses in the Warbird community as well. Their back ground in warbirds, accomplishments & a photo would be good. It might seem a bit morbid, but the details of their loss as well. I'm still not sure how Mark Hannah died, I think I read somewhere it was in Spain, but haven't heard if it was Warbird/movie related or some other cause. For a lot of us older guys, Frank Sanders, John Sandberg, Jim Maloney, etc., are well remembered names. A lot of the younger guys might not have ever heard of them or of their contribution to the planes that are still flying today.

Try this link for information on Mark Hannah. Very sad deal. Tragic loss.
