Part I:Geneseo 2007 pics

Sun Jul 15, 2007 7:18 am

Hi all,

I got back yesterday after spending Friday and Saturday at Geneseo. It was one of the best shows yet. They had more fighters then ever this year(12 all together parked in one long row). Also met up with all the WIX'ers. I had a great time and it looks I will be the first one posting pictures. Well, enjoy.

These pictures were taken Friday.

Hey,

Those are some great looking pictures!! I wish I could have been a part of that. Maybe next year I'll be able to make it there. It looks like a fantastic show.

Cheers,

David

Thanks David,

Sadly on Friday night a Fokker D7 took off and lost power. He hit trees I guess and twisted to the ground. Thankfully the pilot was ok but what I hear the plane needs a lot of work. :(

Great pics man.

Great pics, looks like it was a good show. All those trees and that green grass makes this Arizona boy very envious! Fantastic to see the 3 Spits together and especially to see TE308 and SL721 sharing airspace again.

Fokker D7

I saw them bringing the Fokker D7 back on a trailer. I can say the fuselage was pretty bent up. The tail feathers and some other parts were on another trailer. I didn't get a close look at it, but there didn't appear to be any wing parts on there.........

Hope the pilot was really OK.

Just got home from Geneseo,
Left at noon with a 1 hour stop for lunch.

Got home in 7 hours on a Sunday on the MA Pike!

Good Show, we watched a few from the end of the runway this morning.

Got to meet alot of Wixers, see what happens when you wear the T-shirt!
The WIXer group stayed in the tent until 23:00 each night.

What a great time in a wonderful spot.
A few pics tomorrow, K.L.

Nathan,
Nice photos. Can I copy the CWH B-25 pic for a friend- he used to own the plane.

I was there for Friday and Saturday too. Geneseo never disappoints -- it is my favorite weekend of the year. Great airplanes and great company -- what could be better? It was nice to see all the "usual suspects" and talk airplanes.

Here are a few of mine from Friday:

Just got back from Gennie. Another fantastic show. Catherine and I just got in (11:30 PM) after staying for the entire show on Sunday as well. More to say on the subject, but just too tired to sing the praises now.

Mike

P.S. Thanks to Rob for yet another memorable pass!!! :-)
