While we are talking about A-7's

Anybody know anything about the YA-7E supposedly being rebuilt to fly at Lancaster, TX???

I saw the thing about 10 years ago....and it is mentioned here>>>

what are you gonna do with a project A-7? I wouldnt expect many bids... You need millions to restore it and millions for gas!

well a static or flying A-7E corsair would be good to see anywhere they are unsung warrior of the VA fleet i think..

Id love to see a A-7D fly in USAF 1972 vietnam war colours as a warbird... into a sandy thread also...

A serviceable set of jacks, a mule and a huffer that runs, will set you back more than the project price. Then you always have to have a second person there to even start the thing...

You know it has been cut.Flyer? not likely.Im sure it is a chem milled area that has been de- milled.Bummer. Would be cool to one fly again.

Here's more parts. I played a benefit at a place here in Wisconsin called the Bunker. The owner bought the A7 and it has nearly everything on it. He says it could almost be started up on the poles. :lol:

So, now what? Who's taking this project on? 8)

LOL, it's still here. Haven't seen any new progress on it, but I seriously doubt it'll fly again even though the owner claims he wants to fly it. I think that you'll see the MiG-21 and MiG-23 fly well before the YA-7E.
