John,

The Hardwood Bombing Range open house is being held August 17th. The gates open at 8:00 a.m and close at 3:00 p.m. They tentively plan on having f-16's, UH-60 Blackhawks, and C-130 cargo drops. You can call (608) 427-1509 for more information. I plan on being there. Maybe we can have a little WIX get together. :D

Yah, it is kinda strange that they're doing it on a Friday. Just let me know. Hopefully other aircraft will show up too. The last time I went years ago it was a good time.

Sounds good John. I'm still not sure that I will be there. I'm still waiting for the final okay from the boss. But if all works out, I'll look for you.

Sorry I didn't get to meet up with John, I got stuck being here in the office. Did they have the Civil War reenactors there this year? I remember in years past they had a lot of different aircraft come in and do their runs. Was it just F-16's that showed up this year?

John,

They can handle the A-10's. I've seen them there a few times, and it was a cool experience to say the least.

It's open to the public all the time. :D They might be closed on occasion for "special" activities. You just have to call the phone number I listed in a previous post and they will tell you.
