To make a long story short, while my father and I were at Thunder this year , an eldery couple (who were from North Carolina) came up to us and noticed the Chance Vought shirts we were wearing. We had made the shirts for the Corsairs over Connecticut show back in 05 and I've been wearing it ever since. They had told us in how they had pictures of us and the Corsairs from the show, so we gave them our address and a few weeks later a small package was at our door.

This is what I found inside the package...

The Factory Workers. My pop on the left and me with the brown fidora. If anybody here has the Warbirds International copy with the Corsairs over CT article in it, Cheri, the girl standing next to my dad got her shot in the magazine.

Trae,

Boy would I like to. How many people here you think would want a vintage looking factory work shirt? Im gusseing not to many. :wink:

I have been thinking about doing a N.A.A. shirt or Republic Avation, but man i wanna do them all!

Either that or make new shirts that warbird themed. For me, im tired of seeing the same looking warbird shirts out there. Photo printed and looking a bit tacky.

I wanna try and create more of an "iconic edge" and bring that to the warbird community. Hopefully sooner than later. :wink:

Very cool! I dig the worker garb! Some friends of mine did that in '05 at Thunder too.

Thanks for the vote of support Mark. I did really enjoy those photographs, and actuall remember seeing Warbird Kid too. I thought the volunteers looked great!!! I do have photos of them somewhere, but most of the shots I have online are from the air-to-air experience. If you want to check them out, you can see them here...

BTW;
The pilots of the Corsairs in the first set posted are the late Gerry Beck (TriState), Dave Morss (Fighter Factory), Rob Collings (Collings Foundation) and John Peck (Airpower Museum).
They were taken during the Sunday afternoon War Bond Rally flight!

I remember the cars stopping when the four bent-wings strode out onto the runway. It really stopped traffic on the approach end of the runway!
Thanks for posting those Chris, they're the first I've seen from that angle!

I was surprised too when i first saw the shots.

The gentleman who took the shots must have been standing on the roof of his car to get these shots from over the fence!

Cool pictures and garb at the airshow!

FYI - the only thing I can find as a model for NAA work shirts from some NAA magazines I have; is a shoulder patch form the Texas plant (I have one from my dad's stuff, it's orange with a blue background) and these employee buttons everyone has on in the pictures...some ar round some are like this creepy looking guy is wearing.
