Early morning light wasn't the greatest for taking pics that day.

The mustang looks good sitting on the ground. Do you have photos of the F-94C sitting next to it?

But I can put these and any others you want to see in a different thread if you don't want me to stray off topic...

Mustang looks like it has an all metal rudder. Must've been a after war upgrade?

It amazes ME that this day and age that real mustangs such as these still sit outside (albeit in nicely restored shape) exposed to the elements.

Nice pics, thx for sharing!

The Stang looks good. even if it is outside.

So...what else was displayed? I see an F-101 and a Scorpion? Plus the F-4 on the pole...

I will be looking for another thread for these...

Wow, that mustang looks great for being outside. All the aircraft look well cared for. 8)

Ztex,

I posted some more pics of the Fargo (as well as Grand Forks) birds in another thread for you. Thanks for your interest.

make me want to strap in and go for a ride. That Stang needs to be flying :(

I also see where the Duluth ANG stoled the idea for the F-4 on a stick like that! OR vice-versa

I doubt if if was an operational mod. Most aircraft have the fabric control surfaces "metalized" when they're put on display outside. I know of an FG-1D that has the fabric wings and tail feathers, along with the plywood ailerons covered with crudely pop-riveted sheet metal.
