OK so this pilot flew around Generals. I have (had) a friend that flew around USO movie stars in the ETO. Although he admits if he got caught he would still be pealing potatoes. There was a local book published 25 years ago "Box Seat Over heck" that told of these exploits. Should be a movie, and the title is just perfect. Hardy Cannon was the author and I doubt you can find it, maybe a used bookstore or E-bay. Bf-109 if your dad doesn't have a copy or you have never seen it let me know and I will see if I can find one for you. I doubt they got out of the San Antonio area.
I've got a copy and we're hoping to reprint it SOON! They run upwards of $35 online when one's available.
