Too god to be true. However the shot is croped very tight. Depending on the altitude and time of day it might be posible. I have found aircraft in flight before, With a shadow out of frame.

P.S.
Look at the shadow of the left vertical stabalizer. The angle matches the angle of the shadows on the houses.

Guessing Europe, England, roads too narrow for the US. The white vehicle, though, seems to be driving on the right hand side of the road. Shadows do look correct. Ground shadow could be just out of the frame to the upper right.

Next guess?

Well, it's (obviously) Lancaster PA474 'City of Lincoln' of the BBMF. Apparently the photo was 'found' some time ago by a Google Earth spotter, and I've heard no reason that it may be a fake. It's over somewhere in England. (Generally the Lancaster flies to the Channel Islands for an airshow each year, and has been to Normandy and Holland for special events but rarely further than that.)

For the confused... Of course there's another flying Lancaster C-GVRA, but that's unlikely to be seen over that streetscape - and there are differences between the two aircraft you can tell in this kind of picture. (Care to guess what?)

I viewed this on Google Earth myself shortly after it was discovered and posted by a Google spotter over a year ago. It is unlikely that someone hacked into Google Earth and inserted this image. A member of the Lanc crew also confirmed that they had taken that route previously.

I agree with BrianB, I remember the post. Seems at the time there were some coordinates posted. I went there and there it was..but with the new "freebie" version of Google Earth the area's probably been updated. Maybe no more Lanc..I don't remember the coordinates

It's a real picture! During mapping from space they cought this image of the Lanc flying in the UK
