Brantford 2007 Princess Elizabeth

Thu Aug 30, 2007 3:37 pm

Well another Brantford Air show has come. This show is pretty much the same thing year after year but always well planned and ran. With Mr. Russell's Spit and Hurri unservicable for this years show I thought the Warbird content would be a little light in the way of fighters. I knew their was a planned Heritage flight with the F-16 and P51, but would have never expected to see Jim B bring Princess Elizabeth all the way up here to Canada after just getting her a few months back. :D .

Here are a few images of her, shot most of the show with my EF600L F4 ( non IS ) so the images are not as good as I would have liked ( it gets heavy throwing that unit around for 4 hours

The video will be up on youtube in a few weeks.

Thanks for sharing, beautiful aircraft.
Ahh, I see by your collection the Lancaster was there too. I was fortunate enough to see one fly many years ago at Abbotsford :)

That was a great surprise to see "Princess Elizabeth" at Brantford.

Thanks very much for that Jim Beasley!

Jim decided to take PE at the last minute as the weather was good and we had just got the transonder operational.
Well, the xponder didn't work well and the coolant temp gauge also died.
It like kids, get them away from home and they act up.

We'll have a guest here in a couple of weeks.
Stephen Grey is shipping Twilight Tear over for the gathering and it will be assembled here.
At least for a few days we'll have 3 flyers and the Frenesi restoration under one roof.

Wonderful pics...thanks for taking the time to share.

Her current paint is fine, but everytime I see the ex-Pete Regina B/C I ask myself, "Wonder if she'll ever be Shangri-La again?"

So, does anyone know if Mr. Beasley has ever entertained that same thought?

I doubt it.
His wife shares the current name minus the Princess part.

Ah yes, keeping SWMBO happy takes top priority. I agree, changing her paint isn't worth alimony!
