It looks like there may be some spectator injuries as well. Dang, what a year.

Has anyone talked to Gary? He isn't listed to fly today, but we want to make sure.
This isn't a good year at all. I hope everything else goes smoothly this weekend.
BTW, one Reno news station is reporting TWO seperate accidents, while another is reporting 3 airplanes are involved in the mid-air.

It looks like 2 pylon judges were injured, not spectators. A friend of a few of us was also injured, his condition is currently unknown.

Terrible news, we've had more than enough crashes lately I think

I hope I'm not the one to break the news of this. Gary Hubler died in that crash.
Here is a news report from a local station.

Now that at least is good news. Gary A. is the whole reason I was checking on the races when I saw the news. If you have contact with folks in Reno, please, please let them know that we have been thinking of them, and wish them all the best, and safety.

Here is more info on the crash from yesterday, including the pilot that survived. Jason is the XO for the SoCal wing of the CAF. We wish him a speedy recovery.
