Some may have seen this. Some pretty amazing footage but in the same thought these are the ones who made it back when other didn't

Hey, that was a pretty cool video. I got ten bucks says they had that bird fixed and flying in no time with that soft belly landing. I found it very interesting watching them lift the plane up with the airbags.

Gee, didn' t those guys in WWII see the movie "Memphis Belle"? I thought all aircraft that bellied in or had gear problems blew up! :lol:

That pilot really layed that plane in nice. I bet those guys weren't even scared....well maybe a little :shock:

Looks like they managed to jettison the ball turret..that would have eliminated a lot of damage.

There was a way to unbolt the turret and have it free fall out. I have talked to a few vets that did it.
