Stopped by very briefly at Manassas yesterday (to drop off something for the show this weekend) and saw the following aircraft. I would have stayed longer, but have a stinking cold, and probably shouldn't have gone in the first place! Anyway, there was a hell of a downpour, but after it let up, there were some pretty beautiful images to be had, and I thought you'd enjoy sharing them.

Cheers,
Richard

No idea about the covers over the 17's engine cowl... there wasn't anyone around to ask. I'd have had a better shot of the 24 too, but they covered up the canopies with a tarp, so had to settle for a side shot. Thought the ground reflections were pretty cool though.

Cheers,
Richard

Shhh... it's sleeping! If you were 60 years old, you'd need a nap now and then too!

What great lighting for the pics. I know how you feel Richard as I'm fighting a cold as well and I stood outside shooting the Halifax in the cold for 2.5 hours. It was worth it :?

Cheers,

Eric

Thanks a lot for fixing it Scott... what did I do wrong?

Thanks for your comments Eric... yes... it was such dramatic lighting I couldn't resist going out in the weather, even with a cold. Glad that you liked the effort!

Cheers,
Richard

The original file names had spaces in them but the ones in the second set didn't.

Yeah, Eric... I know... they were too cute to miss! Seemed very nice too.

Hey Jim Harley... I thought you might be around. I hope to go by the show sometime tomorrow. I would love to have been there all weekend if I'd felt better. Maybe I'll see you finally? Which aircraft are you usually stationed with? Say hi to Scott Wood for me too... I think he's on Tandeleo... he's been working out at Kevin Smith's with me from time to time.

Cheers,
Richard

Are the B-24/B-17 coming to Addison again next year? Maybe in May as the WX is always bad in April.

Cheers,

Lynn

Like our great leader, I want to go for a trip around the patch in the 24 next year.

Cheers,

Lynn
