GML "Other Warbirds"?

Tue Sep 18, 2007 2:49 pm

Ok, I've heard random bits of info on the "Other Warbirds" that will be at Gathering of Mustangs. The web site has not really posted this info yet, so I was wondering what anyone has heard through other people or if they are involved with aircraft that might be attending.

So far I've heard:
-Lancaster
-B-17, B-24, and B-25, but who do they belong to? Are they Collings or not?

The B-17 is Yankee Lady

Looks like LSFM B-25, Special Delivery/Doolittle Raider.

There was a Me-109, Fw-190 and Zero listed.

I expected a Ha 1112 and Zero replica or two, to fly advisary.

Looks like a fair amount is backing out.

How many P-51's are not gonna make it, I know one that is still in a bunch of pieces.

8 days!

I'm just guessing but possibly the Spitfire and P-40 are from the Fighter Factory?

I expected a Ha 1112.....

There's only 1 Buchon flying, and that's on the West coast. And no Fw (Focke Wulf) or FW (Flug Werk) 190s flying in the US.

P-40, Spitfire from Texas perhaps?

Anyone know which P-63 is supposed to be there? I can't imagine CAF's would be there with the Midland get together going on. Maybe Mr. Borman's or Mr. Pond's???

Thanks in advance...

Steve

That'd be awesome to see the Lanc come down. I've never seen one.

WWII fighters that flew with and against each other such as the P-40, P-63, P-47, P-38, ME-109, FW-190, and Spitfire are expected to be in attendance along with some of the country's top Air Show Performers at this incredible aviation celebration!

Did say Zero too! :?
