My friend Jeff Akridge from Columbia Pacific Aviation in Moses Lake called me this morning and asked if I knew of a source for B-23 tailwheel tires. The short answer would be no.Jeff said that the B-23 uses the same tailwheel tire as a DC-3.Anyone have any suggestions?

Try these folks:

http://www.tradewindsaircraftsupply.com

They are in San Antonio, Texas, and they specialize in DC-3/C-47 parts.

Cheers!

That would be a 9.00-6 on the tail and 17.00-16 on the mains

Jeff asked me to thank everyone for the rapid input. Here's what he had to say after I sent him a link to this thread yesterday:"Thanks Larry. That's amazing how fast you got responses!!"

He said that his local supplier, which he called "Dessert Tire" (I suspect that it might be Desert Tire?) suddenly discovered that they had the correct tire in stock after all. However,Jeff still needs to find tubes and will be checking with the suppliers that were suggested in this thread. Thanks again everyone for your help.
