Just received word this morning that Doolittle Raider Nolan Herndon passed away yesterday morning. Makes the time I got to spend with the Raiders on Saturday all the more special...
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
This leaves 12 living Raiders.

Very sad indeed. I am getting tired of writting how sad it is to see more and more of these guys passing. I wish we all had more time with them, but I guess that is normal.

I think there is some poetic symbolism in this picture.

I'm going to visit the NMUSAF next weekend, and as always will pay my respects at the Goblets case.

I'm wondering, do they have a special ceremony when one of the goblets is overturned? If so, who conducts said ceremony?

I think they only turn them over once a year during the reunion.
