I saw this on E-bay. Seems pretty cheap. Anyone out there know what kind of shape it's in?

Well,

Just from looking at the auction photos, it looks like quite a bit of structure in the bomb bays is missing

I wonder how long it has been flying like that, and what effect it has had on other structural parts. :(

I would love to own this one. I would love to keep that nose art on it. I always thought that was cool.

Ok Mustangdriver..I have $100 to put towards the purchase and another $200 for fuel and stuff ( I've always heard that it costs twice as much to own than to purchase an airplane)

Lets see if we can make a deal for this one!

I love this airplane...

Drool! And no ring spar so it can be converted back to bomber configuration quite easily. Price sounds good too- if only the money fairy could wave her magic wand at me.

Love this plane.I worked for Denny when he was out at chino back when working on his c-54. I wonder what the aft spars are like these days?needs to be back as a bomber but it would be fun to run the tank dry over a bunch of illegal border crossers.Hmm

I could only give 20 to MAYBE 30.

Seriously, I'm on a college student budget, but I would love to aid this bird. Her history with "Always" made it, that first A-26 for me.

But before I put my money where my mouth is already clearly been. Who can find a cheap place for her to store her?

I'll kick in a $20 or so, we could have our first "WIX" bird to compete with those annoying guys at Red Bull.

Wow - reminds me of that Tom Hanks movie "the Money Pit"! Price sounds about right for what is essentially a "ferriable" basketcase A-26.

(But I'm in for a hundred, too!) :D What the hell...

Structure missing?? Please explain!

BTW, this same bird was for sale a year ago for 80K! I'm sure the seller is motivated...
