Congratulations, Gary!

Having cut my bucking and riveting teeth on a PV-2, I completely understand the love affair (The Harpoon I worked on even tried to kill me once, but hey--that's how some relationships go, right? ).

I just wish you'd have let us know sooner. I've got family in Sheridan that I would've sent down for the photo op.

I understand the spell a PV can induce, Dan!....Sorry I didn't post more on this Harpoon, but it was not my bird, and I didn't want to go all out advertising about others doings, so I gave a fair amount of time (8-9 hours?) before I opened my big mouth!! Anyhow, this Poon is now in Utah ...Boy, how I do wish it was my bird that was leaving WY!!....Will keep you informed on the next Wy. departure...You didn't hear this from me, but the next Poon flight out could be next spring!

At least one Harpoon will be flying out of the former Chandler Memorial Airport within the next few weeks... and another going via road within the next month or so! I'll try and get some photos over the next few days. Let's hope that all this effort will give the US a new crop of Poons flying the circuit!

I'd find a new town to live in if all the poon flew off! :P

When I first saw "Poon' my mind went in a completely different
direction
I'll never look at a Har-POON the same way again :?

Thanks for all that good news, guys.
Could any of this info be made a bit more specific? Who became the new owner of N6760C and where in Utah will she be parked?
Part of a museum or privat owner? To be kept in flying condition?
I won't start to ask the same for the Chandler Harpoons... or ?
The suspense is killing me!!

Jack, Jack, Jack. I'm starting to worry about you, my friend. This POON reply of yours, coming after your JUGS post, has got me worrying that you might have other things on your mind besides Warbirds. Also, makes me wonder about you possibly having another rather large photo collection on a different subject than what we're used to seeing from you.

Mac

Gary let us know about the next one - I would have driven up from CO to catch it in flight.

First off..to Ruudleeuw.............PV-2..N7670C, her new home is Heber City, Ut....Owned by a single individual, yes, she will be a "flyer" I am happy to say....I believe that this will be the most complete PV-2 around, as far as being put back into military configuration...this will have the tunnel guns installed as well as the turret on top....Hope fully this Poon will be on the air show circuit next year.....I was told that I could be PV ballast!!! See not only are fat guys hard to kidnap...but they can be usefull too in the right places! And Jack....I have a name for my PV-2, even though it isn't painted on yet....I call her Annie.....har-POONANNIE..
Paul....will keep all that are interrested informed about the status of the Harpoons left in Buffalo

Worry? I think that just makes him a standard aviator.

Many thanks Gary, that certainly does put Heber City on the map...
