Hi all,I was reading a copy of Flypast the other day and it had a feature on the Hawker Furies & Sea Furies sent to Iraq.I was wondering if anyone had any background info on the reported 10 years of negotiations by Jurist &Tallichet.Perhaps a book on the deal or an interview with the people concerned, also interested to know if anyone has looked at Pakistan as a source of more aircraft given the amount they received, best regards,Pete

Hi Pete,
I do not have any info on negotiations. However, this book has "a page" about a former Iraq Sea Fury. Maybe the author has more info?

There were a few issues of Classic Wings in the last year or so that covered Fury survivors including the the former Iraqi machines. The listsings in those articles were extensive. Follow the banner at the top of this page for back issues.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

have looked at this before.
