Silver Star Warhawk

My dear friend Jack Wood of the 44th FS received the Silver for valor & a Purple Heart for wounds in this P-40F s/n 41-14105 #105 "Feerless Fosdick" near the Russell Islands on Feb. 2, 1943. He defended a flight of B-24s from a formation of Zeros and downed 1 after being hit but never left the bombers 8) 14 20mm hits and over 200 .30 cal hits :!: He lives near Bill G. in CO.

darn! Do you have a pic of that ship in better days? I was just curious what its overall scheme looked like.
