Sorry, Glen, but Chuckie will not be there. She's down for some repair and maintenance at the moment. Always lots to do, always short on money, usually short on qualified help. You can always visit Chuckie at the Museum. . . :D

Steve: I will be there with my wife and some friends on Saturday.

Cheers!

Thanks Dean I had the honor back in the 80's of getting to fly on her a few times when I still lived in the Dallas Area ! everytime that I had a Free Sat (which were not too much as a Chef ) I always injoyed going and trying to not get in anybodys way and help . Lovely Bird glad that Doc and Chuckie ( his lovely Wife ) saved her !

One of the T-Birds has got some "splaining" to do, he cracked the sound barrier this afternoon during practice right over the top of our hangar here at AFW. I was in a back office and all the light panels in the ceiling rattled and dust was flying all over.... Geez! One of my workers was out watching, on top of a work stand, and his ears are hurting.

Fun show today! Really nice WX, lots of great aerobatics, sh*t-hot fighter jets, cool warbirds, The Thunderbirds, and Les Shockley's jet-powered '57 Chevy truck!

Military aircraft in attendance (from memory):

Vintage warbird static:
- PT-17 Kaydet (a real beauty!)
- AT-6 Texan
- B-25 Mitchell (CAF's PBJ-1J "Devil Dog" with 8-gun nose and cheek packs)
- T-34A Mentor

Vintage warbird flyers:
- FM-2 Wildcat (Cavanaugh Flight Museum)
- P-40 Warhawk (Cavanaugh Flight Museum)
- AD-5 Skyraider (Cavanaugh Flight Museum)
- OV-1D Mohawk (Cavanaugh Flight Museum)
- TBM-3 Avenger (Cavanaugh Flight Museum)
- XF8F-1 Bearcat (Howard Pardue)
- MiG 17 (Randy Ball)

Modern military static:
- B-52H
- P-3C
- C-130 (TX Air Guard)
- F-16s (CA and TX Air Guard)
- F-18s (USMC reserves)
- T-6B (USAF)
- CF-18 (Canada, eh?)
- A-10s
- T-38s
- AWACS
- KC-10
- AH-64s
- AH-1s
- T-39 (USN)
- T-45A
- F-35A JSF full-scale mockup

Modern military flyers:
- F-15C (Eagle West from Eglin)
- F-18F (from Virginia, female pilot, and she really wrung that bird out!!!!)
- Army Golden Knights' Fairchild F-27 (no jumpers, though; too windy)
- Your United States Air Force Thunderbirds!

I'll post a few pictures next weekend if anyone's interested. Going out of town for a funeral Sun - Thur. No time to mess with it right now.

Cheers!
