Nice link. I grew up around the 49th FIS at Griffis AFB, AWESOME plane, its a shame there isn't one still flying the HERITAGE FLIGHT.
The 6 was the ULTIMATE INTERCEPTOR

I saw those pics when they were posted a year or so ago. I do remember that T-Bird when it was at Griffis AFB. I forget off hand, but they had like 4 T-Birds. One of them was NICELY polished (well military nicely polished, not a mirror like civilian warbirds). Its a shame what happened to that plane. Of course I was at AMARC last week and it really hurt to see all those planes there.
