Warbird Information Exchange

Today I stopped in Pueblo, Co. at the air museum. They have a nice collection of warbirds there. Since I have been involved with the Harpoon, I have come to appreciate the family of Lockheed twins.
In my earlier research, I had been looking for different variations of the Ventura/Harpoon, and was facinated by the early Vega manufactured PV-1 Ventura....This aircraft at the museum is a rare RB-37, that was ordered by the US Army...This model has the Curtis-Wright R-2600 engines as standard equipment, instead of the P&W R-2800s...On earlier posts I had been asking if anyone knew of a PV-1 that had the Wrights in them, well, I found her.. The personell there told me that this is the only example left in the world....and Wright-Patterson AFB Museum, is taking a very close look at this a/c.
The RB-37 here is in pretty sad shape, not that I am complaining about the museum or it's personel, it's just a fact. Being partial to this breed, of course I'd love to see her inside and getting better care...but I actually wish this for all old warbirds....just another fact of life.

Am I wrong? I thought the PV-1 Venturas had the Wight 1820-97

I believe the C-60 and early Hudsons had R-1820s, but the Ventura/Harpoon used R-2800s.

Two years ago a B-37 was scheduled to attend an airshow in Central Texas but no showed. I have not seen pictures so cannot say if it really exists or not. Hope it does and would love to see it.

Some of the L-18s / C-60s had the Wright R-1820s....PV-1s had the P&W R-2800s....RB-37s...Wright R-2600.......Not sure what the B-34 used in the powerplant department, but will find out

Mustangdriver, The two staff people there had told me that some officials from WPAFB Museum had been there in the past month or so to take a close look at the RB-37...and haven't heard back from them yet...Is this a/c still property of the USAF? On loan to the museum in Pueblo?

I don't know much about it to be honest. I was told that it is owned by the NMUSAF
