Thunderbolts of Millville

A friend of mine runs an ARCA racecar and was asking about a race he has at a track in NJ...

Thunderbolt raceway! In Millville! All I could think of was the Thunderbolts of Millville special on PBS.

Looks like a fantastic facility. Being an old raodracer, I was really excited to think of a big new motorsports park, but then I saw the arial shots and wondered what will happen to the P-47 crash artifacts that they were finding in the woods off the airfield.

Whatever happens, I gotta love racecars and warbirds in the same toybox!

One unfortunate aspect of the new Raceway is that the Condo's that will be part of the development will now be inside the aerobatic box. It may cause some problems when they have their airshow.
It is nice to have the developers respect the history of their location!

Jerry-
I guess that is one part of it that I didn't think about.

The air base was there first and it SEEMS like they are trying to respect the history of it and work with the museum, but...

Many racetracks are built in the "stick"s and years later some greedy dope builds condos along the back straight and before the bulldozer engines cool there are all kinds of regs for mufflers and hours of operation, blah, blah, blah.

Save us from "developers" that just stack people on top of people.

Wouldn't be too surprised if the track develpoer trys to grab land from the little airport. let's just let the condos lay for a bit.

kaint we all jes git along?
