I don't have an address , but I think Savage does a lot of mags for Merlins and is in California, maybe L A area, might be able to do those.

I second the recommendation for Savage Magneto. His number is 1-510-782-7081 Ask for Al. Great guy, VERY knowledgable about the oddball and older stuff.

We just got an overhauled mag for the Rapide but I'm not sure if my father had it overhauled or purchased an existing unit. I'll ask him in the AM and see what he knows. I'm pretty sure we have the same engine on the Rapide, the Gypsy Queen.

That's the one Dave. Al Marcucci is the wizard who runs the place. Tell him I said hello!

Thanks again@! Sounds like I might have found the place! Ill give him a call tomorrow. If anyone has any other places, please keep posting, the more choices I have the better my options look. Im in So Cal, so something closer would be of help. Although I will be giving Al a call and if hell do'em, there his!

This plane has needed the mags redone for some years now, and has sat idle, so i have lots of work ahead of me,

thanks
dave

Dave,
Glad others were able to help. Turns out my father found the two he purchased in the Moth magazine. It comes out three or four times a year in the UK. I'm sure Ray Middleton at QG Aviation in Fort Collins, CO could point you to some sources. Good luck, you're going to need it. Sir Lucas Electric, the Prince Of Darkness!
