Since every aircraft gets a name, I'm calling this one the "Grub". It looks like a giant beetle larvae. Edit: Or....maybe the "Tick".

What's the old adage... if it looks good, it'll fly good?

That bad boy definitely needs some shark's teeth though. :P

You took the words right out of my mouth. As asthetically pleasing as the Super Guppy.

What Possible use could this "thing" be employed to do that the GoodYear Blimp doen't already do?

Wed Jan 09, 2008 11:23 am

You'd think they could find something a bit more attractive to waste Lockheed's $$$.
To borrow a line from Predator..."You are one ugly.........."

Mudge the horrified

Good point - I was thinking that this may have a lot more lift than a conventional blimp and may be used for cargo lifting/hauling.

What more can you say? It was designed by the 'free thinkers' @ CALAC, who brought you a lot of the really weird artists renditions of C-5 meets Ekranoplan, and other ideas in the early to mid 70's. I guess it must still be OK @ Lockweed to go out to the car and smoke your lunch-
