Post War Mosquito NF.36 25 Squadron RAF West Malling. Very Nice pic. Still an elegant aircrft even with the nose job. Now the TT.39. That was a whole different matter!!!!!!

Here in Nashville, Jesse Stallings, the founder of Capitol Airlines bought a Mosquito to make into an air racer. He sold it later that year (1948?). How fast could a Mossie have been, demilitarized, with a tight bubble canopy and openings taped over and with clipped wings! :)

Well, that sort of describes the DH Hornet; and the Hornet was one of the two or three fastest piston twins ever built...not to mention the prettiest...
