Storm Damaged DC-3/C-47 at Vichy, Missouri

I heard there was some damage done to the DC-3/C-47s (?) at Vichy the other day. I found this link that shows some video images of the post storm damage. Bummer, hate to see this kind of stuff but I'm glad nobody was killed at this location. Sadly, two other folks in Missouri were not so lucky and lost their lives in this line of storms.

I'll bet you are correct, probably Lee Maples. I'm not sure about the condition of the other two DC-3/C-47s that were parked nearby. I"ll see what I can find out.

This is from Yahoo's DC-3 group:

It wasn't N47FJ in the tornado-damage movie. It was N486C c/n 6325.

It would be logical to assume though that several of the other four DC-3s
present at Rolla International Airport have also been damaged, because they were parked/stored close together.

So why are there several DC-3s parked there? Did a company fail or was a museum closed or what?

The AC are there because Lee likes Dc-3's and that is where he lives. No mystery at all. Good thing the T-28, Goose and Widgeon were not involved. Not sure he still owns those though.
