Not yet. It has still not been fully outfitted. Maybe sometime next year. The staff at the Fighter Factory stays quite busy maintaining all the other flyers, and perform outstanding maintenance on a large fleet. Its a pleasure to fly some of those airplanes and have the confidence of knowing the staff doesnt rush the requisite maintenance.

Here are some pics I took of Wild Cargo on 11/7/2006. She has been flown, but is currently getting fine tuned. If you ever get a chance to go visit the Fighter Factory...dont pass it up. The people there are top notch. Within 10 minutes of entering the facility, ...my son and I were sitting in the cockpit of Wild Cargo....and we didn`t even ask to do so ! They asked us ! At their Virginia Beach facility we went to after we left the Suffolk facility, my son was given a ride in a German BMW R-71 sidecar motorcycle...it was on display in the hangar,...they pushed it out on the tarmac...fired her up, and away they went ! Great place , and no ropped off areas....way cool.

What's the tail number of that one? They should do a fly-by of Soplata's place when it's finished...isn't that where they got it?

The decision on the paint scheme for the B-25 has not been made yet, there is a more pressing paint project in our thoughts right now.

I am going there ASAP. My airline closed its MX base here in vt so I am going to Richmond VA for a short time until Knoxville opens up. I did talk to there DOM for 30 min on the phone about possible employment there. He told me that its a struggle to work on project airplanes that the boss buys and keep all the flyers going............and I guess there ALL FLYERS.

I would LOVE to get a job there but I got a feeling I am looking at a drastic pay cut...................but I am keeping my options open. These suck and blow engines that I work on just plain SUCK!

N7947C is its registry. A couple of us were just chatting about a possible paint scheme just yesterday. I submitted an idea to Jerry about 9 mos. ago after we finished placing additional test time on the airplane. This proposal was again discussed yesterday. Who knows? We'll have to see what is decided.

i saw wild cargo at the mx facility in SFQ over the summer and they were still working on it, getting it read for paint. I was at SFQ for lunch on Saturday but no one was around. I went over the to the VA Beach airport later in the day and the B-25 still isnt there. As far as updates, the Spitfire was gone for mx and was supposed to come back this week and then the Chipmunk and I think the P-40 were getting the wrenches.

This is a great facility and it is really worth a trip out there.
