A couple of new pictures on the DOC web site main page. Nothing new on the status update page in a long time. Makes you wonder if this project has come to a halt...

If I remember correctly, isn't Boeing putting up money for the B-29 out here in Seattle? They could at least donate something for a hangar. It woud be pocket change for them.

Not taking sides here, but Boeing-Wichita housed the Doc project up until they sold much of the Commercial facility to Spirit. It was after the split that the B-29 was kicked outdoors. It really needs a hangar, that is for certain.

Notice the engine sitting exposed under the left wing. You can really see it in the second picture...

And the issue with SPIRIT is that it is owned and run in C-eh A-eh N-eh A-eh D-eh A-eh, and obviously they seem to not give a hoot about the airframe :?

Few weeks ago, I found on youtube a video of the APU's running test, taken after the move of the plane outside.

It's really a shame to see this bird under the snow after all the work the volunters put on it.

Some friends of mine there were involved in the restoration, but not since they moved it outside.
